Business as Usual - Are You Kidding?

Having to deal with a challenge or two lately? Do you find yourself in the middle of something and, all of a sudden, you're experiencing resistance that came out of nowhere? For openers, know this: you're not alone. These are signs of the times we're living in, and anyone who is holding on to a relationship, a work scene, a project, or an ideal that is not for their highest good is going through their changes. Indeed, the more you hold on to anything that doesn't serve the highest good, the more you will move into greater states of discomfort. No worries, though, it's all leading somewhere.

It's leading you to discover the reason you came here. It's leading you to your true calling, to the love of your life, to the feeling that surpasses all feelings. My first mentor, BJ, used to say that no matter what subject you started with, he could eventually turn it around and end up at the Highest Good. It's the same in our world today. No matter what you are going through, you will eventually end up at the highest good. The question is: do you want to go kicking and screaming, or do you want to have a lot of fun along the way. It's up to you.

    

Wanting your power back? Sometimes all we have to do is revert back to the way we were when we were children, and begin to play with the clouds and the rain. After releasing The Law of Agreement recently, with it's reminder that, like the Native Americans and the Hawaiian Kahunas, we too can affect the weather with our intentions, we received two of the sweetest emails ever:

"When I was a child my Father would take us out in the backyard and we would practice making clouds go away. We would just pick a cloud and silently in our mind will it to go away and they always did! Thanks for bringing back this lovely memory." Tricia

"You know, when I was little we used to do the same thing with the rain. Especially when we really wanted to go out and play and we couldn't because of the rain. Us kids used to sing this song. "Rain, rain go away, please come back another day." It always worked and of course we didn't question why because we had not been conditioned to doubt the Universe.

I think this is a big part of the problem in today's world. We are so conditioned by our parents and peers as to what to think, what to do, and what to expect that we lose sight of just allowing the great and powerful Universe to provide for us. Somehow, we took the side road because someone told us this was best. Fortunately we are now awakening to this little piece of programming and seeing that the road has many forks and we can choose the path we wish to embark upon instead of letting others choose for us." Houston and Austin Workshops in April

Tony Burroughs will be with his good friends, Carl Minton and Charlotte Sigler, to present the Keynote Easter address at Carmel Temple at 1208 Pennsylvania Ave in South Houston, TX at 11am on April 4th. After the service and potluck, he will then be presenting his latest 2 hour workshop entitled WHAT'S GOING ON AND WHAT WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. This is a very practical event that will give you several tools to help you navigate through these fast-changing times.

Then, on April 9th, Tony will be accompanied by Vicki Harding as they travel to Austin for an informal workshop, storytelling, and an Intenders Circle at the home of Intender, Ginnie Hancock at 12109 Tweed Ct., Austin 78727. There will be a potluck at 6pm and the evening will begin at 7. Please bring a chair, some food to share for the potluck, and your like minded friends. A Message from the White Bison Elders

Many of you know that our Office Manager, Vicki Harding, follows some of the Native American spiritual traditions. She recently received the following message from her friends at whiltebison.org. Isn't it wonderful how these beautiful Native American teachings are so closely aligned with the work of The Intenders and our Intenders Circles? We are, indeed, coming together to bring an awareness of peace, a respect for all living beings, and the highest good back unto the peoples of the Earth.

"The Native way is to first focus on decisions that will be good for the people and then for yourself. Righteousness means "to think right." Our way is to consider the good of all first. This helps our minds to be unselfish and pure. This is the spiritual way. This can be very hard to do because the world we live in says to take care of yourself first. A man of God cannot be taken advantage of unless it is the will of the Creator. The Creator really controls everything. To have a good future, the people must gather in a circle and pray for the highest good for the people.

Great Mystery, today let me love instead of being loved. Let me be giving instead of receiving. Show me the advantages of having a giving heart."

Some Zen Humor - Faith or Responsibility?

This story just came in from our Canadian friend, Luc. Enjoy!

In a small town, a person decided to open up his Bar business, which was right opposite to a Temple . The Temple & its congregation started a campaign to block the Bar from opening with petitions and prayed daily against his business.

Work progressed. However, when it was almost complete and was about to open a few days later, a strong lightning struck the Bar and it was burnt to the ground. The temple folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the Bar owner sued the Temple authorities on the grounds that the Temple through its congregation and prayers was ultimately responsible for the demise of his bar shop, either through direct or indirect actions or means.

In its reply to the court, the temple staff and devotes denied all responsibility or any connection that their prayers were reasons to the bar shop's demise. As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork at the hearing and commented:

"I don't know how I'm going to decide this case, but it appears from the paperwork, we have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer and we have an entire temple and its devotees that doesn't."

The Intenders has always worked on a very low profit margin. In an effort to help the people of the world and make sure that they had access to these empowering materials, we have charged very little, comparatively, for our products and have given away things for free, like The Code and our daily Bridge Messages. These two items alone have helped thousands of people.

However, our ideal of making our products and workshops available below market value is now catching up with us. We are within a few books of being out of our Intenders Handbook, which is the cornerstone of our Community Package. This package is unique in that it allows people who are not affiliated with any particular ideology to come together and help each other under the umbrella of the Highest Good. We have received countless emails thanking us for creating this one-of-a-kind community maker. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, we had to remove it from our shopping cart because we are unable to fill the many orders we receive for it.

By the same token, our latest book, The Law of Agreement, is finished and ready to go out to the world, and we need to manifest the money to print it. This book was purposely written to help the average person cope with the changes we are going through today. It is a practical catalyst for moving smoothly from the old to the new, and it needs to be in distribution now.

The Intenders Handbook reprint is $4250 and The Law of Agreement is $4750, a total of $9000 for 5000 copies of each. It is our intention that we have that amount of money now so we can keep providing our Intenders materials and services going out to the people of the world at this critical time when they are most needed.
